Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for fully enclosed electric motors-compressors used in refrigerators. The safety requirements for compressors are specified in GB 4706.17, "Safety of Electric Motors-Compressors for Household and Similar Appliances".
This standard applies to fully enclosed electric motors-compressors used in refrigeration appliances for household and similar purposes, where the refrigerant is R600a and R134a, and their nominal cooling capacity does not exceed 400 W under the operating conditions specified in this standard (hereinafter referred to as compressors).
