Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, composition, requirements, and test methods for acupoint impedance detection equipment. This standard applies to TCM auxiliary diagnostic devices (hereinafter referred to as "devices") that perform non-invasive impedance detection of acupoints or specific points on the body surface under the condition of applying detection electrical signals to the detection object. For a multifunctional device, the content specified in this standard only applies to the acupoint impedance detection function of the device. For other functions, if there are corresponding national standards and/or industry standards, they should also comply with the requirements of other relevant standards. This standard does not apply to impedance detection devices that do not adhere to traditional TCM theories, such as: human body composition analyzers, electromyographic impedance recording devices, brain impedance monitoring devices, breast impedance diagnostic devices, and direct impedance hemodynamic mapping devices. This standard does not include the post-processing of impedance detection data, nor does it cover the requirements for software used to perform medical analysis of detection data results or related clinical functions for auxiliary diagnosis.
