Scope
This standard specifies the characterization parameters, measurement conditions, measurement methods, and steps for the basic electroacoustic characteristics of array-type pulse echo ultrasonic transducers. This standard applies to array-type ultrasonic transducers that use piezoelectric transducer elements and operate at a frequency of 1.5 MHz to 15 MHz, intended for use in ultrasonic pulse echo diagnostic systems. This standard applies to the electroacoustic characteristics and measurement methods of the transducer portion of ultrasonic probes.
