Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, production environment, seedling cultivation, planting, field management, pest and disease control, harvesting, waste disposal, and production records for the open-field cultivation of chili peppers. This document applies to the open-field cultivation of chili peppers. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 1.1 "First pepper": The first chili pepper fruit grown from the first flower at the first branch of the chili pepper root. 2. Production environment: The production environment should comply with the requirements of NY/T 391. Select plots with convenient irrigation and drainage, flat terrain, and high soil fertility of loam or sandy loam soil to avoid continuous cropping with solanaceous crops. 3. Seedling cultivation: Implement according to the T/YNRZ 032-2024 Technical Specifications for Chili Pepper Seedling Cultivation. 4. Planting: 4.1 Land preparation and base fertilizer: - 15-20 days before planting, plow and expose the soil of the planting plot, and apply 3,000 kg/667 m2 to 4,000 kg/667 m2 of composted farmyard manure or 500 kg/667 m2 to 600 kg/667 m2 of organic fertilizer, and 50 kg/667 m2 of calcium phosphate and 25 kg/667 m2 of three-element compound fertilizer (N:P:K=15:15:15) as base fertilizer. The fertilizer should meet the requirements of NY/T 394. After fertilization, ensure that the soil and fertilizer are mixed evenly and leveled. - 42 days before planting, dig two rows of planting holes on each planting plot according to local planting habits, determine the planting spacing, and make the planting holes form a "pot-bottom" shape with a depth of 10-15 cm. - 43 days before planting, cover the film first at the ridge or plot head, then unfold and tighten the film to adhere to the plot surface, and press the film tightly on both sides of the ridge or plot ditch.
