This standard specifies the 15×16 dot matrix fonts for the CJK Unified Chinese characters and their extended set A, as well as the mandatory part of the GB 18030 Chinese characters in the GB/T 13000 basic multilingual plane. The standard also prescribes the 15×16 dot matrix fonts for the 196 Chinese characters in the Common Standard Chinese Character Table outside the GB/T 13000 basic multilingual plane. This standard is applicable to various electronic information technology products and digital products, and can also be used in other related equipment.
