Product Protection Scope: The protection scope of Yushan Yulan Fruit products is limited to the area approved by the national quality supervision, inspection, and quarantine administrative departments in accordance with the "Regulations on the Protection of Geographical Indication Products", namely Yushan County. 5. Planting and Processing 5.1 Planting Environment 5.1.1 The local environment shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB 3095, GB 15618, and GB 5084. 5.1.2 The cultivation environment should be located at an altitude of 200m to 800m, with a slope of less than 25°, well-ventilated sunny or semi-sunny slopes, good drainage, slightly acidic soil, and a soil layer thickness of more than 80cm, with a humus layer thickness of more than 1cm. 5.2 Seedling Propagation and Planting Techniques The techniques shall comply with LY/T 1773. For seedling disease and pest control, please refer to Appendix A. 5.3 Harvesting and Post-ripening Processing 5.3.1 Harvesting 5.3.1.1 The harvesting period begins in early to mid-September when the seeds are fully mature. The false seed coat turns from green to yellow-green or light yellow, the seeds crack to expose the kernel, and the kernels are easy to peel off. 5.3.1.2 Methods: - Harvest in batches. Select seeds that are fully mature and have consistent ripeness on sunny days, and finish harvesting in 3 to 4 batches. - During harvesting and transportation, use breathable tools such as bamboo baskets and hook baskets to store the Yulan fruit seeds. - Manual removal of the false seed coat is recommended. - For cracked seeds, remove the false seed coat promptly after harvesting. If not removed immediately, spread them out in batches for post-ripening and remove the false seed coat when the seed coat naturally softens and the seed shell separates. 5.3.2 Post-ripening Processing 5.3.2.1 After removing the false seed coat, the seeds shall be stored in batches accordi
