Scope

This standard specifies the classification and designations of cold-rolled steel strips used in bicycle chains, as well as their dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard applies to ordinary carbon steel and low-alloy steel cold-rolled steel strips (hereinafter referred to as steel strips) with a thickness of 0.90mm to 1.3mm used in the inner and outer links of bicycle chains. This standard also applies to slit steel strips and cold-rolled wide steel strips cut from cold-rolled wide steel strips.
