Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the relative timing of sound and images from the source end of TV programs to the receiving end of the entire link, as well as the relative timing requirements of some sub-links. This standard applies to the research, development, production, and operation and maintenance of systems and equipment related to the collection, editing, production, broadcasting, transmission and distribution, reception, and monitoring of TV programs.
