Scope
This standard specifies the requirements and/or measures for removing hazards and limiting risks of manual or automatic loading and unloading woodworking band saw machines (hereinafter referred to as machine tools).
This standard applies to machines used for cutting solid wood, particle board, fiberboard, plywood, and materials with plastic veneers or edging materials.
This standard includes all hazards related to the machine tool, as detailed in Chapter 4.
This standard does not apply to handheld machine tools and desktop machine tools (as specified in GB 13960.1 and GB 13960.6).
This standard does not include hazards caused by other processing methods (e.g., milling and circular saw cutting).
