Scope
This standard is applicable to the determination of the oxidation value of in-use petroleum-based and hydrocarbon-based lubricating oils, such as diesel engine crankcase lubricating oils, engine lubricating oils, hydraulic lubricating oils, gear lubricating oils, and compressor lubricating oils, as well as other lubricating oils prone to oxidation. This standard is applicable to the determination of the oxidation value of in-use petroleum-based and hydrocarbon-based lubricating oils, such as diesel engine crankcase lubricating oils, engine lubricating oils, hydraulic lubricating oils, gear lubricating oils, and compressor lubricating oils, as well as other lubricating oils prone to oxidation.
