GB/T 41640-2022 Critical current measurement—Measurement of critical current and its uniformity along the length of 2G-HTS long tapes
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a method for measuring the DC critical current and its distribution along the length of second-generation high-temperature superconducting (2G-HTS) long strips with a single length of not less than 10 m (see Chapter 4).
This document is suitable for measuring copper and copper alloy encapsulated strip materials with a width of 2 mm to 15 mm, a thickness of 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm, a critical current of less than 500 A, an n-value greater than 5, and an overcurrent capability at liquid nitrogen temperature that is at least 1.5 times its nominal critical current.
This document is not suitable for measuring 2G-HTS strips coated with an insulating layer.
Note 1: This method can be used to measure strips with a critical current exceeding 500 A, but the DC constant current source must be able to provide a sufficiently high current, and the protective circuit needs to be designed more carefully to prevent the strip from being damaged during the measurement process.
Note 2: The measurement conditions of this method are a standard atmospheric pressure and a self-field, and all measured parts are immersed in a liquid nitrogen bath and are in a stable state. If the atmospheric pressure deviates or a magnetic field exists during the measurement process, the measurement results can be corrected as needed.
Note 3: Other specific restrictions and auxiliary measurement methods are given in Appendices A and B.
