This standard specifies the fertilization, shaping and pruning, and thinning techniques for the rejuvenation and transformation of low-yielding walnut forests. This standard is applicable to walnut planting areas on both sides of the Yellow River and in the Huangshui River basin, aiming to transform low-yielding walnut trees (with a yield lower than that specified in GB 7907 for Category II walnut-producing regions) due to outdated cultivation techniques.
