Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the test method for measuring the in-plane shear modulus (G12) of fiber-reinforced composites using standard flat specimens. When applied to isotropic materials, the test of shear modulus is independent of the direction.
1.2 This standard is used to test the in-plane shear modulus of specimens and cannot be used to test shear strength. It uses two points on the diagonal of the specimen board as support points, and two points on the other diagonal as loading points. The loading points move synchronously with the displacement of the test machine's crossbeam.
