Scope
This standard specifies the management interface for the standard capabilities defined in ISO/IEC 14776-453 (SPC-3), as well as the commonly used capabilities of vendor extensions. This standard applies to vendors who deliver drivers that provide the aforementioned capabilities. This standard is related to SCSI multipath features, but it does not include multipath methods between interconnect devices (such as Fiber Channel switches) and transmission-specific multipath methods (such as multiple connections for each session in iSCSI).
