Scope

This document provides guidance for conducting health risk assessments of detergents and their raw materials (ingredients), and describes the methods for evaluating whether and to what extent the raw materials in detergents may have adverse effects on human health. This document is applicable to the risk assessment of detergent raw materials, safety risk substances inevitably introduced during the production of raw materials or products, and end products under the conditions of consumer use (including the intended use of the products). This document is not applicable to situations such as occupational exposure, industrial and institutional use, and product spills.
