Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for the type and dimensions, marking, and technical conditions of Morse taper and metric taper hacksaws with straight handles and Morse taper handles. This standard applies to the following types of hacksaws: -- Morse taper and metric taper hacksaws of sizes 4 and 6 with straight handles and Morse taper handles; -- Morse taper hacksaws of sizes 0 to 6 with straight handles and Morse taper handles. Unless otherwise specified, all hacksaws are designed for right-hand cutting.
