Basic Information
Scope
Main technical content: 6. Cultivation techniques 6.1 Site selection: Choose a site that is sheltered from the wind, sunlit, with flat terrain, clean and sufficient water sources, convenient transportation, and a safe distance (over 300 m) from crops. 6.2 Substrate preparation: Use 78%–80% hardwood sawdust (broadleaf) as the main material, and mix it evenly with soft substrates such as wheat bran. Add a certain proportion of water to ensure the substrate’s moisture content is around 65%. 6.3 Cultivation seasons: - Spring cultivation: Produce cultivation bags in early March and plant them in the ground from mid-April to early May. - Autumn cultivation: Produce cultivation bags from late April to mid-June and plant them in the ground from late July to mid-August. This ensures that the temperature during the ear emergence period is around 25°C with the greatest day-night temperature difference, allowing for effective nutrient accumulation. 6.4 Ear opening method: - When the mycelium fills the bag, add ear-opening holes around the bag and make several holes on the bag surface, spaced 5–6 cm apart, forming a "Yin-Yang" pattern. Alternatively, use a knife to make small 1–2 cm holes around the bag, forming a "cross" pattern. The opening depth should be 0.70–0.9 cm. 6.5 Harvesting: - Harvest when the ears turn pale, expand and soften, have thick flesh, and the ear base shrinks. White spore powder appears on the ear surface, indicating maturity. 6.6 Drying: - After harvesting, spread the Cangzhou black fungus evenly on drying racks and dry naturally. During drying, avoid frequent turning. When the moisture content of the ears reaches 13%, package them in plastic bags.
