Basic Information
Scope
This document establishes a test procedure for measuring the source flow pulsation and source impedance of a volumetric hydraulic pump. This document is applicable to all types and sizes of volumetric pumps operating under steady-state conditions with a pump excitation frequency ranging from 50 Hz to 400 Hz. This document takes the calculation of high-impedance pressure fluctuations as an example. The method and theoretical basis of the test procedure are explained in Appendix A. The test procedure is called the dual-pressure/dual-system method. The evaluation items are as follows: a) the source flow pulsation (in the standard Norton model) amplitude (m3/s) and phase (°) of more than 10 individual pump excitation frequency harmonics; b) the source flow pulsation (in the modified model) amplitude (m3/s), phase (°), and time-domain waveform of more than 10 individual pump excitation frequency harmonics; c) the source impedance amplitude (N·s/m5) and phase (°) of more than 10 individual pump excitation frequency harmonics; d) the high-impedance pressure fluctuations (MPa) of more than 10 individual pump excitation frequency harmonics, and the root-mean-square average value of the pressure fluctuation harmonics f1~f10.
