Scope
Scope: This document specifies the site environment and construction, seedling cultivation, planting, soil management, pruning, flower and fruit management, fertilization, pest and disease control, harvesting, storage and transportation, and production records for Dongkui bayberry production. This document is applicable to production and planting in the Chaoshan region. Other varieties can refer to this document for implementation. Main technical content: 4.1 A production area with good ecological environment quality should be selected. The soil environmental quality of the production area should meet the requirements of GB 15618, and the environmental air quality should meet the requirements of GB 3095. The production area environmental quality should comply with the provisions of NY/T 391. 4.2 It is suitable for planting in warm and humid areas with an annual average precipitation of more than 1200 mm and an annual average temperature of more than 20 ℃. The orchard should be selected in a wind-free and sunny location, on the gentle slopes of mountains or hills, with slightly acidic soil, loose and compact soil, and low groundwater levels in red soil or sandy red soil. 5.2 Grafting should be carried out using scions collected from excellent single plants. The scions should be selected from fully mature and healthy 1- to 2-year-old branches in the middle and upper parts of the crown, with a diameter of 0.6 cm to 1.0 cm, a length of 6 cm to 10 cm, and 3 to 4 effective buds, free from quarantine-regulated pests and diseases. Grafting should generally be carried out using the cut-stump method, preferably in clear weather from mid-to-late February to mid-March. 7.1 The planting time should be from March to April and September to October each year. 7.2 The planting density should be determined according to the soil fertility, soil layer thickness, and variety characteristics.
