Scope

This document presents the relevant information and minimum requirements for embedded software, which supports the implementation of the main functions of switch and control equipment throughout their entire life cycle. This document also includes parametric requirements and basic requirements for safe coding standards.
If the content of this document is not covered in the product standards, this document can be used as a supplementary requirement for the product standards.
This document applies to new product development or major improvements to existing products.
This document does not include the functional safety requirements for mechanical or automation control systems in GB 28526, GB/T 16855.1, and GB/T 20438 (all parts), nor the network security risk requirements in ISO 27005 and IEC 62443 (all parts). This document only provides some examples of safe coding rules.
Note: IEC TS 63208:2020 has been published, which specifies network security measures in switch and control equipment based on ISO 27005 and IEC 62443 (all parts).
