Prevention and Control Principles Following the principle of "prevention-oriented and integrated prevention and control," various effective and feasible prevention and control measures, including agricultural prevention, ecological regulation, and chemical prevention, are combined to form an effective prevention and control system. 5. Mite Infestation Investigation and Identification 5.1 Investigation Time The investigation is conducted during the main occurrence periods, including before the cultivation of Tremella, the spawning period, the fruiting period, and the storage period. 5.2 Investigation Methods - Mechanical sampling method is used to investigate mites in all levels of spawning strains, such as mother strains, original strains, and cultivation strains, in accordance with the requirements of NY/T 528-2002 and NY/T 1284-2007. - Random sampling method is used to inspect no less than 5% of fruiting bags or cultivation areas. All mites found should be investigated, in accordance with the requirements of TJAASS 41-2022. 5.3 Identification Methods The identification methods for harmful mites are described in Appendix A. 5.4 Investigation Locations Production areas of Tremella bag cultivation in Jiangsu Province. 5.5 Mite Infestation Risk Analysis A risk assessment of the relevant mite species is conducted, including qualitative analysis of occurrence frequency, harmfulness, distribution, and prevention and control difficulty. Three risk levels are defined: general concern, key concern, and transferred to risk assessment. For unacceptable risks, prevention and control management measures should be proposed, in accordance with the requirements of TJAASS 41-2022. 6.
