Scope

This standard specifies the determination method and criteria for the sensitivity of explosive intermediates (ANE) such as ammonium nitrate emulsion, ammonium nitrate suspension, or ammonium nitrate gel, and determines whether the substance can be classified as a substance under item 5.1.
The first method of this standard is applicable to determining the stability of explosive intermediates (ANE) under high-temperature conditions.
The second method of this standard is applicable to determining the sensitivity of explosive intermediates (ANE) to a specified level of impact.
The third method of this standard is applicable to determining the sensitivity of explosive intermediates (ANE) to strong thermal effects under highly confined conditions.
The fourth method of this standard is applicable to determining whether explosive intermediates (ANE) are suitable for tank transportation.
