Scope
This standard specifies the test procedures for evaluating the performance characteristics of filter elements, which are used to test the hydraulic, mechanical, and filtration properties of filter elements.
This standard is not applicable to the qualification verification of filter elements with special requirements or under specific working conditions. If such verifications are needed, dedicated test procedures, including actual operating conditions (such as working fluids), must be developed.
The test procedures specified in this standard are applicable to filter elements that use hydraulic oil or liquids with similar chemical properties as the working medium.
