This standard provides guidance to shipowners, ship designers and builders, and test personnel on marine trial plans, implementation, and reporting, and provides basic information on a unified format for marine trials.
This standard applies to marine trials of various types of mechanically propelled ships listed in Appendix B.
This standard does not apply to submarines.
