Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of marine nitrogen generation devices (hereinafter referred to as nitrogen generation devices).
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generation devices and membrane separation nitrogen generation devices with a design pressure not exceeding 3.0 MPa and a design temperature not exceeding 150 °C, and also applies to nitrogen generation devices used on offshore oil platforms.
