Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions of effective control technologies for selenium enrichment and cadmium resistance in rice fields in Jiangxi Province, the monitoring techniques for selenium and cadmium, and the technical content and methods for effective control of selenium enrichment and cadmium resistance in rice fields (including growth environment, variety selection, soil improvement, soil conditioning, water and fertilizer management, foliar control, pest and disease prevention, and rice harvesting, etc.). This document is applicable to rice fields with a soil selenium content ≥ 0.4 mg/kg, where the soil is contaminated by cadmium and the cadmium content in the topsoil lies between the screening value and control value for soil pollution risk stipulated in GB 15618-2018 "Soil Environmental Quality - Risk Control Standards for Soil Pollution in Agricultural Land (Trial)". Similar rice fields in southern regions may refer to this document for implementation.
