Scope

This standard specifies the management of metrological instruments submitted for inspection (hereinafter referred to as "samples"), including the acceptance of orders, receipt, laboratory transfer, transfer, storage, and issuance. This standard applies to the management of samples submitted for inspection, calibration, type evaluation, and commissioned testing by statutory metrological verification institutions (hereinafter referred to as "verification institutions").
