Scope
This standard specifies the 24×48 dot matrix fonts of 1,729 graphic characters in the GB 16959—1997 "Basic Set of Tibetan Encoding Characters for Information Technology Information Exchange" and the GB/T 20542—2006 "Expanded Set A of Tibetan Encoding Characters for Information Technology". The Tibetan font uses the Wu Jian Qiong typeface (see Appendix A).
This standard is mainly applicable to display devices and dot matrix printing devices in Tibetan information processing systems, and can also be used in other related devices.
