Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test instruments, on-site testing, inspection results and processing, and test reports for determining and analyzing the thermal (cold) loss of the insulation layer by measuring the surface temperature and heat flux density of the insulation layer and its distribution using infrared thermography.
This standard is applicable to the second and third-level tests specified in GB/T 8174, and to the on-site evaluation of the insulation performance of equipment and pipelines under normal operating conditions.
