Terminology and Definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 "Lianyuan Lianhong" Citrus "Lianyuan Lianhong" Citrus refers to early- and medium-ripe fresh varieties such as Jinqiu sugar oranges, Wenzhou mandarins, and navel oranges, as well as processing varieties like Daidai sour oranges, Ou citrus, and Jin citrus, produced within the specific ecological environment of Lianyuan City, between 111°-112°E and 27°-28°N. 3.2 Postharvest Commercial Handling A series of measures taken after fruit harvest, including picking, sweating, initial sorting, preservation treatment, grading and packaging, storage, unloading, and transportation. 4 Harvesting 4.1 Preparation Prepare fruit pruners, fruit baskets (baskets), gloves, stepladders, and transfer boxes in advance. Line the inside of the fruit baskets with soft padding, and disinfect and dry all items in advance. 4.2 Timing Harvest when the fruits reach 7-8 maturity and exhibit the inherent quality characteristics (color, aroma, flavor, and texture) of the variety. 4.3 Methods Use the "one fruit, two cuts" method: first cut off the long peduncle, then cut off the fruit stem flush with the fruit. Gently place the harvested fruits in the fruit baskets. Start harvesting from the lower and outer parts of the tree crown, gradually moving upward and inward. 4.4 Requirements Properly control water before harvesting, and harvest in good weather when the fruits are free from moisture. Avoid harvesting in rainy, foggy, snowy, or windy conditions. Handle filled fruit baskets with care to prevent fruit damage. Separate diseased, pest-infested, or mechanically damaged fruits from good ones and store them separately. Transport the fruits to the warehouse immediately after harvesting, and remove diseased or rotten fruits from the orchard for centralized treatment. 5 Initial Sorting Select deformed, damaged, or diseased fruits. Sorting personnel shoul
