Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and contract (or order form) content for seamless tubes made of zirconium and zirconium alloys.
This standard applies to seamless tubes made of zirconium and zirconium alloys produced by cold rolling (cold drawing) methods.
The tubes of grades Zr-0, Zr-2, and Zr-4 in this standard are suitable for the nuclear industry, while the tubes of grades Zr-1, Zr-3, and Zr-5 are suitable for general industries and can be used in heat exchangers and pipelines.
