GB/T 29165.1-2022 Petroleum and natural gas industries—Glass-reinforced plastics (GRP)piping—Part 1:Vocabulary,symbols,applications and materials
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the application scope, pressure evaluation methods, and grading of the product based on the application method of the product, the type of joints and resin matrix, and the limitations on the structure and dimensions of the materials used. This document also defines terms, definitions, and symbols, and provides guidance for other parts of GB/T 29165.
GB/T 29165 (all parts) applies to glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) piping systems, in which the joints used are capable of preventing axial thrust caused by internal pressure, temperature changes, and fluid dynamics. The system design envelope is trapezoidal. GB/T 29165 (all parts) is primarily applicable to fixed and floating platforms at sea, but can also be used for other similar applications on land, such as the specification, manufacture, testing, and installation of GRP piping systems for produced water, fire water systems, and general industrial purposes.
Since floating platforms allow the use of alternative specifications and standards for GRP piping associated with ships and/or ballast systems, the design, construction, and certification standards of the hull or ship are referenced for floating platforms. However, it is recommended to use GB/T 29165 (all parts) as much as possible.
GB/T 29165 (all parts) can also be used as a general basic specification for pumps, silencers, I-beam pipes, seawater lifting risers, and other similar structural pipes.
