Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of ultrasonic rangefinders. This standard applies to ultrasonic rangefinders with a measurement range of no more than 100m (hereinafter referred to as rangefinders). This standard does not apply to the measurement of physical quantities other than range in ultrasonic rangefinders.
