Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for the content, methods, frequency, and quality assurance of health surveys for residents around nuclear power stations and the radioactive monitoring of food and drinking water.
This standard applies to health surveys for residents before and during the normal operation of nuclear power stations. It does not apply to health surveys for residents and the radioactive monitoring of food and drinking water during nuclear power station accident emergency states.
For health surveys for residents around other nuclear facilities (such as uranium processing or enrichment facilities, nuclear fuel manufacturing plants, nuclear reactors (including critical and subcritical devices), research reactors, spent fuel storage facilities, and nuclear fuel reprocessing plants, etc.) other than nuclear power stations, this standard can be used as a reference.
