Scope
This standard specifies the method for analyzing the gas components such as carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen cyanide (HCN), hydrogen chloride (HCl), hydrogen bromide (HBr), nitrogen monoxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and propylene aldehyde (CH2CHCHO) in fire smoke using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) gas analysis technology.
This standard is applicable to the concentration analysis of various gas components in fire smoke, and it is also applicable to other gases that can be analyzed using FTIR technology, including hydrogen fluoride (HF) and sulfur dioxide (SO2).
