Terminology and Definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 "Lianyuan Lianhong" Citrus "Lianyuan Lianhong" citrus refers to early- and mid-maturity fresh fruit varieties such as Jinqiu sugar oranges, Wenzhou mandarins, and navel oranges, as well as processing varieties like Daidai sour oranges, Ou citrus, and Jin citrus, produced within the specific ecological environment of Lianyuan City, located between 111°-112°E and 27°-28°N. 4. Planting 4.1 Planting Procedures Should comply with the provisions of T/HNSGJXH 0031. 4.2 Planting Density Row spacing: 4.5 m–5.5 m; Cultivation spacing: 2.5 m–3.5 m. 5. Tree Management 5.1 Young Tree Shaping Shaping should continue for three years after planting. - Trim the main stem to a height of 40 cm–50 cm. - Remove new buds on the main stem during the growing season. - Select and cultivate 3–4 branches above the main stem as main branches. - During the first three years of planting, prune branches lightly, focusing on removing dense branches. - Remove flower buds. 5.2 Adult Tree Pruning Prune after fruit harvest and before the next bud sprouting. - Use large-branch pruning to remove and shorten branches, improving ventilation and light conditions in the crown. - Remove overlapping, weak, drooping, dead, or diseased branches. 5.3 Flower and Fruit Preservation - Spray flower and fruit preservatives when two-thirds of the flowers have fallen and 7–10 days before the first physiological fruit drop. 6. Fertilization and Irrigation Management 6.1 Young Tree Fertilization - Apply fertilizer 2–4 times per month from February to August, primarily quick-acting fertilizers. 6.2 Adult Tree Fertilization - Fertilize before spring shoot sprouting, focusing on quick-acting fertilizers. - Apply high-potassium fertilizer from late June to early July. - Apply organic fertilizer with moderate quick-acting fertilizer from frui
