Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, testing methods, marking, labeling, user's manual, packaging, transportation, and storage of quantitative labeled immunoassay kits for total triiodothyronine (TT3).
This standard applies to kits that quantitatively determine TT3 based on the principle of competitive assay (hereinafter referred to as TT3 kits). These include immunoassay kits that quantitatively determine TT3 using labeling methods such as enzyme labeling, (electro) chemiluminescence labeling, and (time-resolved) fluorescence labeling, and using carriers such as microplates, tubes, magnetic particles, microbeads, and plastic beads.
