Scope

Scope: This document specifies the technical principles, site selection requirements, layout of the farm area and manure removal processes, manure storage, wastewater treatment, solid manure treatment and utilization, feed and management, and the disposal of dead sheep bodies for large-scale sheep farms. This document applies to the management of pollutant emissions from large-scale sheep farms. Main technical content: 3. Terminology and definitions: There are no terms or definitions requiring definition in this document. 4. Technical principles: The construction of farms should adhere to the principles of agricultural and animal husbandry integration and balance between cultivation and breeding. Based on the land (including land contracted with other legal persons to absorb the manure and wastewater from the farm area) of the farm area for the absorption of livestock and poultry manure, the scale of new farm construction shall be determined. For farms without corresponding absorption land, it is necessary to establish manure and wastewater treatment facilities or treatment mechanisms with corresponding processing capabilities. The location of the farm should comply with the requirements of regional pollutant emission total control. 5. Site selection requirements: The following areas shall not be used for the construction of farms: a) Protected areas for drinking water sources, scenic spots, and nature reserves, including the core areas and buffer zones of nature reserves; b) Urban and town residential areas, including cultural and educational areas, medical areas, commercial areas, industrial areas, and tourist areas, etc. densely populated areas; c) Prohibited areas designated by the people's government according to law; d) Other areas requiring special protection according to national or local laws and regulations.
