Scope
Scope: This document specifies the grazing management techniques for Albas wool sheep, including the organization of grazing herds, the selection of four-season pastures, grazing methods, supplementary feeding of grazing sheep, and grazing arrangements. This document applies to the grazing management techniques for Albas wool sheep; Main technical content: 3. Terms and definitions: The terms and definitions defined in NY/T 635 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document. - Natural and semi-natural grasslands: Grasslands dominated by herbaceous plants, with vegetation that has been little or not modified, used for livestock farming. - Mixed grazing by cattle and goats: A method of utilizing pastures where cattle and goats graze simultaneously. - Moderate grazing: A grazing intensity that maintains a dynamic balance between the carrying capacity of the pasture and the livestock's normal production needs. - Grassland plant yield: The total amount of edible forage produced per unit area of pasture during the grazing period. - Daily feed intake of goats: The amount of forage required by each goat to maintain normal growth, development, reproduction, and normal production of livestock products. - Optimum grazing periods: The time periods during which cattle and goats achieve the highest grazing efficiency in a non-continuous concentrated grazing pattern. 4. Organization of grazing herds: According to the gender, age, physical strength, and topography of the pastures, free-range goats are divided into groups for grazing.
