Basic Information
Scope
Main technical content: 1. Preferentially select single plants 1: Under the same cultivation conditions, select single plants with obvious typical traits of the variety and good growth performance, mark them well, and use them as excellent single plants. 2. Cultivate the selected excellent single plants under the same conditions. After entering the flowering stage, continuously observe and record the typical traits of the target variety, such as flower color and shape, and compare them with the selected excellent single plants. Mark them well and store them separately. 3. Purification: - During the next year's germination period, remove the marked single plants by gently tracing the leaf stems and flower stems to carefully extract the seeded lotus tubers. - During the growth period, for the selected single plants planted in pots or ponds, it is advisable to repot and propagate them twice. - After observing the consistency and stability of the selected single plants for one growing season and confirming that they meet the typical traits of the target variety, the purification is completed. 4. Measures to prevent hybridization: - The planting soil should be selected from lake pond mud, garden soil, and rice soil that have never been used for lotus cultivation. - Physically block the five sides of the planting pots with bricks, concrete slabs, or thick films, and refer to DB33/T 1299 for specific implementation of the planting pots. - Each planting pot should contain a single excellent asexual clone of lotus. - Timely bag and harvest the lotus seeds before they ripen.
