Scope

This document specifies the usage conditions, technical performance, design requirements, and testing methods for DC-coupled capacitors and capacitor dividers used in DC transmission. This document is applicable to DC transmission systems with a rated voltage of ±500 kV and above, and DC-coupled capacitors and DC single-phase capacitor dividers connected between the line and ground, with the low-voltage terminal permanently grounded or connected to power line carrier (PLC) equipment with a frequency of 30 kHz to 500 kHz.
