Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for the use of DC capacitors in flexible DC converters, including their operating conditions, technical performance, design, testing, marking, packaging, storage, transportation, and acceptance. This document applies to DC capacitors installed on converter valves and combined with controllable power electronic components to form power module subunits in flexible high-voltage DC transmission systems with voltages of ±800 kV or lower. DC capacitors used in flexible DC converters with voltages below 1000 V can also refer to and implement these requirements.
