Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the thermal resistance of adult sleeping bags used in sports and leisure activities, and calculating their usage temperature. This standard is applicable to evaluating the thermal insulation performance of sleeping bags under steady-state conditions. This standard is not applicable to sleeping bags for special purposes such as military use and extreme environmental exploration. This standard is also not applicable to sleeping bags for infants, toddlers, and children aged 14 and under.
