Scope

This document specifies the requirements and test methods for cable clamps used to fix cables in electrical installations and intermediate fixing clamps used to tie cables together in electrical installations. In the areas specified, the cable clamps can withstand electrical power. This document applies to cable clamps used for axial and/or lateral fixation of cables on the installation surfaces specified by the manufacturer.
Appendix A shows various types of cable clamps and intermediate fixing clamps.
Note: The requirements for manufacturers in this document also apply to relevant importers and responsible suppliers.
This document does not apply to cable ties.
