Scope
This document specifies the protocols and processes for time-sensitive applications used to bridge local area networks and virtual bridged local area networks to meet synchronization requirements, including maintaining time synchronization under normal operation, addition, deletion, failure, and network reconfiguration of network components. This document is applicable to enabling time-sensitive applications connected to bridged local area network sites to meet their respective jitter, drift, and time synchronization requirements, including time-sensitive applications involving transmission to multiple endpoints and multiple streams.
