Scope
This document specifies a method for rapidly evaluating the toxicity of nanomaterials (in the early stages of fish life, from 0 HPF to 120 HPF), including detailed steps for removing the egg membrane and a complete protocol for evaluating the toxicity of nanomaterials using de-membraned zebrafish embryos. The focus of this document is on testing the toxicity of nanomaterials. This document is applicable to toxicity testing of both commercial and non-commercial nanomaterials.
