GB/T 42490-2023 Soil quality—Determination of total content and isotope ratio of organic carbon and nitrogen of soil and biological samples—Stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the method of determining the organic carbon content and carbon isotope ratios, as well as the total nitrogen content and nitrogen isotope ratios in soil and biological samples (plants, animals, microorganisms) using an elemental analysis-isotope ratio mass spectrometer (EAIRMS). This document is applicable to the determination of organic carbon and total nitrogen content in soil and biological samples, as well as the determination of carbon and nitrogen isotope ratios in soil and biological samples from non-labeled (natural abundance) and tracer experiments (f13C≤30%, f15N≤30%). The quantitative limits for determining the organic carbon, total nitrogen content, and carbon/nitrogen isotope ratios in soil and biological samples (expressed as absolute carbon and nitrogen amounts) are: 30 μg for carbon and 20 μg for nitrogen.
