Scope
This standard specifies the scope of inspection and testing for metal components of steam turbines in thermal power plants at two stages: after manufacturing and before installation, and during operation. It also stipulates the inspection and testing items, content, and corresponding evaluation criteria. This standard applies to the inspection and testing of the following metal components of steam turbines in thermal power plants: 1) Steam turbine cylinders; 2) Blades of the steam turbine rotor; 3) Impellers of the steam turbine rotor; 4) Main shafts of the steam turbine; 5) Inspection and testing of babbitt alloy bearing bushings; 6) Bolts with a diameter of M32 or greater. This standard does not apply to the inspection and testing of metal components of steam turbines during the manufacturing stage.
