Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy systems. This standard applies to high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy systems (hereinafter referred to as HIFU therapy systems) that focus sound at a frequency range of 0.5 MHz to 2.0 MHz externally.
