T/YNRZ 003-2024 High-Yield Cultivation Techniques for Bitter Melon
T/YNRZ 003-2024
Basic Information
Scope
Scope: This document specifies the high-yield cultivation techniques for bitter melon, including variety selection, environmental selection, seedling cultivation, land preparation, planting, field management, harvesting, and production management archives. This document is applicable to the cultivation of bitter melon. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: There are no terms or definitions requiring definition in this document. 2. Variety selection: Select varieties with good adaptability, strong resistance, and high yield based on planting purposes, market demand, and local climate and environment. 3. Environmental selection: Select plots with convenient transportation, a cultivation layer ≥ 30 cm thick, and convenient irrigation and drainage. Previous crops should not be gourd-related, and the soil should comply with GB 15618. Irrigation water should meet the requirements of GB 5084. 4. Seedling cultivation: Follow the provisions of T/YNRZ 002-2024 for seedling cultivation. 5. Land preparation 5.1 Deep plowing: Plow the land to a depth of ≥ 30 cm and expose it to the sun for about 30 days. 5.2 Making furrows: After plowing and exposing the land to the sun, prepare the land for furrows. The furrow width should be 1.2 m to 1.5 m, the furrow height 20 cm to 25 cm, and the furrow width 20 cm to 30 cm. 5.3 Digging planting ponds: The pond spacing should be 0.6 m × (1 m to 1.3 m), and the pond depth ≥ 25 cm. 6. Planting 6.1 Planting time: Planting can be carried out when the ground temperature stabilizes above 15℃. 6.2 Planting method: Plant the seedlings in the ponds, ensuring that the roots do not directly contact the fertilizer. Water the seedlings sufficiently to help them take root. 7. Field management 7.1 Weeding and soil improvement: Weed and improve the soil for the first time about 10 days after planting, and for the second time 20 to 25 days later. 7.2 Setting up trellises: Set up trellises after the second weeding,
